Bio

Alex Pieloch is currently a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow and Instructor in Mathematics at MIT. He completed his bachelor's degree at Duke University in 2017. He obtained his PhD at Columbia University in 2022. Alex Pieloch's research lies in the field of symplectic geometry. He is particularly interested in studying interactions of symplectic geometry and complex algebraic geometry via Floer theory and pseudo-holomorphic curve techniques.
